The title says it all.
I realized yesterday just how much I appreciate good friends and our local park. I went on a nice walk with two of my close friends yesterday evening. We chatted (I talked the most – must learn to listen!), and eventually found our way to the semi-new playground at the park. Even though we are 18 (that’s right, right?), 17, and 13, we still had way too much fun on the equipment. We had lots of laughs, and generally had a good time. Thanks, guys!
I recently finished reading Jan Karon’s Home to Holly Springs. It was delightfully sweet. Her last novel, Light from Heaven, was the last of her Mitford series, and Karon said her next book would be a ‘Father Tim mystery’ (Father Tim is the main character in her Mitford novels). I got the impression that the book would take place before Father Tim moved to Mitford, but I was wrong. Home to Holly Springs picks up just a few months after Light from Heaven ends, and it follows Father Tim as he visits places from his past, both physically and mentally. I found no mystery, or at least no more than the usual plot devices in Karon’s books.
Nonetheless, the book was a great read. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who hasn’t read the Mitford novels yet, though.
Now I just have to wait for the fifth Binding of the Blade book to be released!
